Banff was a burgh constituency that elected one commissioner to the Parliament of Scotland and to the Convention of Estates. After the Acts of Union 1707, Banff, Cullen, Elgin, Inverurie and Kintore formed the Elgin district of burghs, returning one member between them to the House of Commons of Great Britain. ==List of burgh commissioners== * 1543 Parliament: Walter Ogilvy〔 * 1587 Parliament: Thomas Ogilvy〔Foster, p. 278.〕 * 1621 Parliament: Alexander Craig〔Foster, p. 80.〕 * 1628–33 Parliament: Andrew Baird〔Foster, p. 21.〕 * 1630 Convention: * 1639–41 Parliament: Andrew Baird (until 1641);〔 then Alexander Douglas (in 1641)〔Foster, p. 98.〕 * 1643–44 Convention: Alexander Douglas〔 * 1644–47 Parliament: Alexander Douglas (until 1645);〔 Gilbert Moir (from 1646)〔Foster, p. 253.〕 * 1648–51 Parliament: Gilbert Moir (in 1648);〔 Alexander Douglas (from 1649)〔 * 1665 Convention: Robert Hamilton〔Foster, p. 172.〕 * 1667 Convention: Walter Sheroun〔Foster, p. 313.〕 * 1669–74 Parliament: William Cumming (until 1672)〔Foster, p. 85.〕 * 1678 Convention: Thomas Ogilvy〔 * 1681–82 Parliament: William Fyfe〔Foster, p. 145.〕 * 1685–86 Parliament: Walter Steuart〔Foster, p. 334.〕 * 1689 Convention: Walter Steuart〔 * 1689–1702 Parliament: Walter Steuart (until his death in 1701);〔 Sir Alexander Ogilvy (from 1701)〔Foster, p. 276.〕 * 1702–07 Parliament: Sir Alexander Ogilvy〔 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Banff (Parliament of Scotland constituency)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
